Raven is a beautiful tricolor female collie. She is approximately six years old.
Raven is quite a character and loves to explore the toy basket, pulling out a toy to play with then going back for another and another until the basket is empty.
She has been introduced to her foster mom’s seven month old granddaughter and was very respectful, just doing some gentle sniffing and she did not try to steal any of the baby’s toys.
Raven is housebroken and will go to the door when she needs to go outside, but she does want someone to go out with her. Rain is not her favorite thing, but she doesn’t mind getting her feet wet.
Raven gets along well with the other dogs in her foster family but she will bark when she hears a dog on the television, though she is already beginning to get over this. When her foster family’s dogs bark, she will run to their side to see what the fuss is about but doesn’t join in the barking.
Raven seems to have more experience being around women, but she is beginning to warm up to men and probably just needs a little patience in this area, she does pace sometimes.
She rides well in the car as long as she is secured with a leash because she would rather be in the front seat. When she is secured in the back seat, she settles down well.
Raven will come when she is called and understands “drop it,” she is also learning other basic commands like stay and lie down.
Raven is sure to be a wonderful companion to anyone willing to give her some guidance and show her the love and patience she deserves.
