Paige is an eight year old smooth (short-coated) female collie that was surrendered by her former owner. She has been debarked but is a calm and gentle lady.
Paige loves attention from her
human and will curl up next to you on the couch or in her own bed.
She is house broken and leash trained. Nothing has upset her in her foster home. She has heard sirens going by during our walks, planes overhead, trains in the distance, and she has been fine with it all.
Paige will stop to sniff and greet neighborhood kids but she's not a licker or a jumper. She is a dignified lady greeting the young folk.
Paige adores her foster mom's grandchild and follows her around and likes to curl up near her. She will steal her toys not to chew them, but to sleep with them - Elmo is a favorite pillow of hers. Paige will chew paper and sometimes will get into the garbage when she's alone, but with a firm correction she will stop.
She was heart worm negative upon surrender, but she did have hook and whip worms all of which have been successfully treated.
Paige weighed 52 lbs at the veterinarian's during her visit to be spayed and she has put on a few pounds in rescue after receiving good nutrition.
Paige is a lovely and affectionate lady that would be wonderful addition to a family ready to welcome her into her forever home.
