Kelligh is a seven year old tricolor female collie. She weighs 56 pounds and is friendly and affectionate.
Kelligh gets along well with other dogs of all sizes, although small, quick-moving dogs can get her a little too excited. Kelligh is sensitive to loud machine noises, such as lawn mowers and vacuums. She does well with cats and even likes to play with the cat in her foster home.
Kelligh loves people of all ages and seems very fond of children. She will come and rest her head on your lap for petting and collie kisses. Kelligh behaves well in the house and on a leash and is fine with having her beautiful shining black coat brushed.
She is crate trained and will sleep in it at night with no complaints. Kelligh will go right in and then you can close the crate door and be on your way.
Kelligh came to us after having a compound dislocation of her leg. This resulted in her having a metal plate in her right hind leg above the paw. Because of this, Kelligh favors that leg. She has had it rechecked by our TSCR vet, who told us that it will take her a good six months to fully heal, but that everything looks good. Even with her healing leg, she is an energetic, loving, sweet collie, that would make a wonderful dog for almost any family looking for a special companion.
