Kara is a beautiful, petite, sable and white collie. She is good in the house and has manners although she needs to be reminded from time to time. Kara is still young and acts like a puppy, but she is good with other dogs and cats.
Kara is also good with children but would do best those over the age of twelve because she is still young and can get rambunctious.
Kids can stand at her gate and pet her or play tug of war with her and she loves it and licks their hands. Kara will play fetch with toys but prefers to play with dogs, wrestling and playing chase. That is one of Kara's favorite things - running - so she will definitely need a fenced in yard.
This girl would make a wonderful prospect for someone looking for a dog to train for agility/rally or would like a jogging partner.
Kara does guard her food and is possessive of treats when she's in her kennel. This is something that can be worked on, but she will need an owner that will be willing to be vigilant about this and not feed her near other dogs in the house.
Kara is housebroken and will kennel up on command. She doesn't mind being groomed or having her nails trimmed. Kara has a fairly light coat for a collie girl so she will be easy to keep her groomed and looking good. She is a small girl, weighing in at about 35-40 pounds even though she is a very healthy eater.
Kara is a sweet girl that would make a wonderful companion to an active person or family lucky enough to adopt her.
