Jake is an adorable, energetic 2 year old large Sheltie male looking for a new family, preferably with all females. He loves women, kids and other dogs.
He's housebroken but does like to make sure you've picked up things. He'll pick up after you, shoes, toys, etc that are left out of place. He also thinks he's a lapdog so will jump in your lap as soon as the opportunity is available. Hope you're not shy, you'll never go anywhere in the house alone again, Jake is a 'Velcro dog', he follows you everywhere.
Jake likes to retrieve balls or squeaky toys and will drop them for you to throw without playing tug about 75% of the time.
He does get the zoomies, especially on bad weather days, so a fenced yard or someone that likes long walks would be the ideal home for Jake. He likes to give squirrels a little exercise too.
Unfortunately, Jake does have one big bad habit. He is overprotective and doesn't discriminate, he dislikes men. Outside on a leash, he barks but responds to sit and let's them pass. Inside, he is stern about making sure they don't cross into his territory. We're working on it but it's not an easy or quick habit to break.
Jake is being fostered in Kentucky.
