My name is “Honey,” but my foster mom calls me “Little One.” She tells me that I’m about 7 years old, but all I know is that I was stinky, skinny, bald and full of heartworms when I was rescued from a life of having puppies. Now I’m all clean, my belly is full of good food, and my coat is all soft again and will someday be long and luxurious like it is meant to be.
I’m very timid - well, do you blame me? I haven’t had much socialization until recently. I’ve been hanging out with my foster brother and he’s pretty cool. He has a LOT more fur than I do, but mine will eventually fill in.
I’ve met lots of big and small humans, and after they stand still and let me sniff them, I’m not so afraid anymore. My favorites are the young humans who like to sit next to me and pet me while they read to me.
I just finished my heartworm treatment and will be spayed soon and ready for my new family by mid December. My foster mom says there is a family out there waiting for me - one who needs me to cuddle with them and listen to their stories, one who will be gentle and kind and understanding if I need to retreat to my crate for a bit. Would you be my family?
My Adoption Fee is $300 and I am being fostered in Columbus, Ohio.
