Higgins is a 2 year collie mix, with a beautiful soft white outer coat, with the usual collie undercoat. He has cinnamon colored markings on his face and ears with some freckles on his front paws and one big cinnamon patch on his tail. Higgins likes to be brushed, as long as you don't mess with his ears, they're sensitive. He likes scratches behind his ears, just not handling of his cute floppy ears.
Higgins is a love bug, wants to be next to you, will follow you around the house, lay at your feet, next to you on the couch, or stare at you from his spot on the couch if you're in the chair next to him. He was surrendered to a shelter because he supposedly jumped a fence and killed a chicken. However, he's been well behaved at his foster home, never making a move to jump a fence and only chasing squirrels and rabbits inside the fenced yard.
Higgins loves everyone who comes to the door, gets along well with other dogs, from small to extra large. He's house trained, has not had one issue in the house, nor has he chewed anything inappropriate. He has investigated the trash for food, but leaves it when told.
Higgins does not like thunderstorms and has joined his foster mom on her bed during a loud one, but stayed on the floor and whined during a shorter, less booming storm.
He enjoys walks on a leash and jumps into your car for rides. Higgins is a large boy, standing 25 inches at his shoulders and weighing around 80 lbs. He knows basic sit, stop, come and drop it commands.
Higgins is being fostered in KY.
