Camille is a very sweet dynamo in a small collie (mix) package. At just over 1 year (best guess) she measures only 19 inches at the shoulder and weighs about 40 lbs. Camille had been tied out in her yard prior to being surrendered to rescue. She loves the freedom she has found at her foster home where she can run and run around the yard and play with other collies. She loves to play and is quite entertaining with a tennis ball or frisbee, which she races around the yard with, shaking, tossing and catching it on her own.
Camille is housebroken. She is doing very well with the crate, which she needs if she can't be supervised because she can get into mischief if left to her own devices. She does like to chew on blankets, dog beds and clothing that is within reach. She is easily distracted or discouraged from this behavior. Camille loves to have her belly rubbed, and is very happy to sit close and get petted. As active as she can be, she loves a good cuddle.
Camille already knows sit, and we'll be working on more training. She nearly always comes when called. She does jump a good bit, and still pulls when on leash, but she loves to go for walks. In a very short time she has grown more settled in her foster home. She is a real sweetheart, and will make a wonderful companion. She should do well either as an only dog, providing she get the activity and affection she craves, or with another dog as a companion to run and play with.
Camille has met the cats, she doesn't seem aggressive towards them at all, just interested and possibly a bit too playful.
