Ava is an 2 yr old spayed female. She is a sable and white rough collie (maybe mix) with dark shadings. She has spent all of her life as an outside dog. She is adjusting well to life indoors and is enjoying being part of her foster family.
Ava is very energetic and playful. She enjoys lots of outside running and playing. She loves playing with her foster collies, but sometimes gets a bit rough. She might be a bit much for some dogs and small children. Even though she had not been an indoor pet before, she has had no house-training accidents and always does her business outside.
She likes to “talk” a little and is very reactive to deer, squirrels, cars, etc. She will go in the crate for a treat. She sleeps all night in the crate. She does not appear to know any commands, but she does come when called. She needs leash training as she can pull very hard when excited. She can jump a baby gate and would probably enjoy agility training.
Ava is a sweet-natured girl. She only wants a family that will give her lots of attention and outlets for all of her energy.
Ava is being fostered in West Virginia.
Her adoption fee is $275.
