Most of those that follow Tri State Collie Rescue know about Annette or "Annie as we call her. She was turned over to rescue from a puppymill situation. She had a prolapsed vagina and was almost 8 wks pregnant. She was taken to emergency vet to get stabilized and then a few days later on to a TSCR vet for C-section. She has some areas that had to be shaved and so her coat has some growing back to do. Her pups are now over 8 wks old and Annie is looking for her new family.
Annie is a very sweet petite girl at 48 lbs. She is young and estimated to be barely 2 yrs old. She is house trained and sleeps in crate at night, just to keep her on track with her training. She LOVES toys especially the "un-stuffed stuffies" She collects them all on her dog bed and some have called her a "hoarder".
She gets along great with other dogs and is fine with cats. She is enchanted with children. That said however she does have that normal collie herding tendency and will grab pant legs etc. She should have no long term health problems from her past history and is very healthy and full of energy at times. At other times she is more than happy to lounge at our feet and just chill out. Some noises and new things still will startle her and we are still working on that. She is very quick to recover when startled. She is learning that people that come to the door are all her friends.
A fenced yard for Annie would be perfect and she would be happy with another dog as a friend. But she loves humans too.
Annie is being fostered in SE Michigan.
