Hi, my name is Amy. I am 64 pounds of pure perfection, just ask me and I will be glad to let you know! In my former life I was held as a breeding female but I am happy to say after a minor procedure that will not be my life any longer.
I have been hanging out with my foster mom at her boarding facility for assessment and lots of TLC and am ready for my forever family. I am a very picky girl so I would prefer to be the apple of my family’s eye and not share any of the attention with another pet.
I am very sassy and have the potential to have some resource guarding issues when it comes to sharing food with the commoners. However, I have none of these tendencies with my foster mom and am good if she needs to work with me, groom me or ask me to go into my crate. I am completely crate trained but may need to have a home opened up to me a room at a time so I understand where the door is and don’t get confused by too much space all at once. I had to build an emotional wall in my former situation that is slowly but surely coming down.
I like human attention and like learning so a family who would continue training with me would be fantastic. I have been around kitties and I find them a little intimidating but I don’t bother or chase them, I just leave them alone. I haven’t been around small children so I don’t know how I would react. I am thinking that empty nesters or a single person looking for love and companionship would probably be the best situation for me.
If you would like to hear more about me, my foster mom would be glad to share. And please fill out our application if interested in Amy.
Amy is being fostered in TN.
