Amber is a four year old sable and white collie that weighs about 55 pounds. She is a sweet and affectionate girl who likes to stay near her humans. Amber can be a bit unsure when meeting new people but once she has a little time to get acquainted, she will sit and give you her paw asking for affection and belly rubs.
Amber is a sensitive girl and needs a calm and gentle family that will be patient with her. She is great in the house and is fully house broken thanks to her foster mom keeping her on a consistent schedule.
Amber is used to walking on a leash although she does pull a bit. Her foster family is working on this and they are sure that with some training she will learn to walk even better on a leash.
Amber is crate trained and will stay there quietly. The crate is her safe place, especially during thunderstorms. Amber is a bit nervous during storms and when she hears loud noises. For her safety she will need a fenced yard.
Amber is young but has a lovely, laid back personality. She likes to play a short game of chase with her canine foster sister but after that she will lie down and just watch the neighborhood go by. Amber is a smart girl and already understands “sit” and “down.”
She is little picky with her treats but if you find the right one she will be all yours. This wonderful sweet girl will make a great addition to a calm family that is ready to give her the love and attention she deserves.
Amber is being fostered in Illinois.
